About me

I'm an offshore solo sailor with a Ph.D. in physical oceanography, and a long history on scientific software development and data dissemination.

I usually write my code with Vim, using whatever language best fit the job. While Python is a convenient choice most of the time, I would rather use Rust for critical operations. You might figure out a lot about me from some of my preferences: Nikon, PostgreSQL, monohulls, espresso with no sugar, epoxy (pro-set) with biaxial cloth, planning with Scrum sprints, foresail and spinnaker trimmer otherwise foredeck (racing), no flat slotted screws, OpenBSD for firewall, Debian for servers/images, Gentoo for my Desktop, and Bremen (handmade) sails.
